Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to programme places, workshops, studios, and CPD days booked with Alderpath Biomedical Engineering School Ltd. It covers deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds for teaching services — not retail merchandise.

Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel, whether a readiness call has been completed, whether teaching has started, and whether consumable kits have been issued.

Timeframes

• Cancel 21 or more days before the start date: full refund of fees paid, minus any non-refundable deposit stated on your confirmation (typically £150 for foundation places; £50 for weekend workshops).
• Cancel 8–20 days before start: 50% refund of tuition paid after deposit deductions.
• Cancel 7 days or fewer, or fail to attend (no-show): no tuition refund. Deposits are retained.

Full and partial refunds

Full refunds (less any stated non-refundable deposit) apply when we cancel a cohort for insufficient enrolment or laboratory closure. Partial refunds apply in the mid-window above or when only unused modules of a multi-day CPD booking remain and we agree in writing.

Non-refundable items

• Stated deposits after the readiness call confirms your place.
• Consumable kits once issued.
• Mentor critique hours already delivered in the Design Studio.

Work already started

Once a programme has begun, refunds are limited to unused future weeks only at our discretion, and only when withdrawal is for documented medical or serious personal reasons. Skills-log partial completion does not itself create a refund right.

Rescheduling

You may request one free transfer to a later intake of the same programme if seats remain and you give at least 14 days’ notice. Further transfers may incur an administration fee of £40.

Refund process and timing

Email info@appalderpath.click with your full name, programme, and payment reference. Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days to the original payment method where possible.

Cancellations by Alderpath

If we cancel or significantly relocate a programme, you may choose a full refund of fees paid for the affected booking or a transfer to a later date at no charge.
